After joining Mosaic in 1992, I started leading hikes and became involved in planning.  I didn’t initially set out to be President and when Tzionah asked that we create a formal management structure for the group, I was hoping to assist Rick Levey with the hike schedule.  To my surprise, I was asked to take the position of President, which I did with some reluctance given my work schedule.  Nevertheless, I was fortunate to have a talented and energetic group of officers, hike leaders, and volunteers who kept the organization running smoothly and are due all of the credit for any successes Mosaic enjoyed during my term.

As an outgrowth of my participation in Mosaic, I am now active in wilderness search and rescue.  When time permits, I try to get out with Mosaic.
